“Disk Filtration” Technology
|
| The filter cartridges are made of PE or nylon disks, with striations on both sides, which are set and compressed on a special rotative body. Through compression, the striations of the upper disk are opposed to the striations of the lower disk, creating a highly efficient filtering element. The filter cartridge – the compressed disk package – is installed in a pressure-resistant plastic casing. |

”AZUD HELIX” Anti-Clogging Technology
|
| Beginning with 90s, AZUD revolutionized the filtration system by implementing HELIX technology – the fundamental element of the system, situated at the base of the filter cartridge and which generates a centrifugal-helicoids effect, removing in this way a high percentage of the solids within water. The use of this anti-clogging system requires reduced maintenance works and a subsequent water economy. |

“AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC” Technology
|
AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC equipments offer total autonomy due to the perfect combination of the elements. The mechanism developed by AZUD allows the sequential carrying out of the back wash while the other units perform the filtration. AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC equipments are very easy to install: they have a self-supporting structure and are delivered fully assembled, by reducing the maintenance costs a lot.
1. The Filtration Stage – the water enters into the filter through the upper part, by means of a directional control valve, passes through the filter agent and reaches the HELOX element, situated at the base of the filter cartridge. Here, through the centrifugal-helicoids effect, the solids are removed and retained on the surface of the filter element.
2. The Backwash Stage – the high pressure clean water, coming from another filter, enters through the lower part and passes upwards, through the filter agent. Thus, the filter element is expanded and the retained solids are released and removed through purging. |

“Modular” Technology
|
The modular system is a technology that can be found in all AZUD product range, being a tendency in the filtration field. It allows a wide range of installation possibilities, with a minimum number of components, facilitating the maintenance operations at the same time.
Modular filters have a thermoplastic lid and casing, which made them very resistant and very easy to use. Its structure is specially designed to be highly resistant to pressure surges. They have a thread blocking system and are provided with pressure meter sockets. |
